Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I’m experiencing burnout or just stress?
Burnout often includes exhaustion, emotional detachment, and a sense of hopelessness — particularly related to work or caregiving. We can explore what’s behind how you're feeling and what might help.
I’ve always been anxious — can therapy really change that?
Yes. While anxiety can feel deeply ingrained, evidence-based counselling can help you better understand triggers, build coping tools, and feel more in control.
Do you offer counselling for carers or helping professionals?
Absolutely. Many people in support roles experience burnout or compassion fatigue. You deserve a space to focus on your own wellbeing.
Will I have to do breathing exercises or mindfulness?
Only if it suits you. Breathwork and mindfulness can be powerful, evidence-based tools — and for many people, they form a helpful foundation for managing stress and emotional overwhelm. But therapy is always tailored to your preferences. You're in control, and we’ll work in ways that feel right for you — whether that includes practical strategies, deeper emotional exploration, or simply having someone to talk to.
Can stress counselling help with physical symptoms too?
Yes — while counselling doesn’t replace medical advice, it can help reduce the emotional load that often contributes to sleep issues, headaches, fatigue, and tension.

A Bit More About Priscilla
I grew up in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and have always embraced change as a natural part of life. After completing university, I built a successful corporate career, started my own pet food business, then returned to the corporate world before deciding to follow a new path. I completed my Master of Counselling and haven’t looked back. Having navigated many transitions myself, I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with change.
With my husband moving into semi-retirement, we made our long-awaited move to Millowl, Phillip Island, where I’m enjoying a more balanced way of living and a stronger connection to the local community. I have two beautiful Old English Sheepdogs who keep me active, and I love getting outdoors with them to explore the island. Staying fit is important to me, and so is balancing time between family, friends, and solitude. I ride a motorcycle and have a passion for MotoGP, love cooking, and enjoy good conversation. Life is full of transitions, some planned, some unexpected, and I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my counselling approach, offering a space where you can navigate your own path with confidence, clarity and understanding. |
