Overwhelmed? Stressed? Anxious? Let's Talk

Practical, Compassionate Counselling to Help You Manage Anxiety, Stress, Reduce Burnout & Feel In Control Again

When Your Mind Won’t Switch Off & Your Body Won’t Keep Up

Stress, worry, and overwhelm are part of modern life… but that doesn’t mean you have to live with them long-term.

I support people experiencing stress and anxiety in all its forms — from the quiet hum of unease that never quite goes away, to the full-blown panic that catches you off guard. I also work with those feeling drained, flat, and emotionally exhausted from burnout.

Sometimes it Feels Like You're Falling to Pieces — You Don't Have to Fall Apart

It’s easy to think you should “just handle it” — especially if you’re the one others rely on. But anxiety doesn’t always look like panic attacks. Burnout doesn’t always mean collapsing on the couch.

It can look like:
  • Constant tension in your body
  • Feeling on edge or irritable
  • Racing thoughts, overthinking, or ‘analysis paralysis’
  • Exhaustion, brain fog, or a loss of motivation
  • Trouble sleeping or switching off
  • Feeling numb, detached, or emotionally flat

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and there are ways to move through these thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Practical Tools & Grounded Support

My approach is evidence-based, warm, and practical. We’ll gently explore what’s contributing to how you feel, and look at tools to help you calm your nervous system, set boundaries, and reconnect with a sense of control.

I provide anxiety counselling in Phillip Island, and also offer online anxiety counselling for individual clients throughout Victoria.

You don’t have to be in crisis to reach out. Sometimes just having a space to breathe and untangle things is the first step toward feeling more like yourself again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I’m experiencing burnout or just stress?

Burnout often includes exhaustion, emotional detachment, and a sense of hopelessness — particularly related to work or caregiving. We can explore what’s behind how you're feeling and what might help.

I’ve always been anxious — can therapy really change that?

Yes. While anxiety can feel deeply ingrained, evidence-based counselling can help you better understand triggers, build coping tools, and feel more in control.

Do you offer counselling for carers or helping professionals?

Absolutely. Many people in support roles experience burnout or compassion fatigue. You deserve a space to focus on your own wellbeing.

Will I have to do breathing exercises or mindfulness?

Only if it suits you. Breathwork and mindfulness can be powerful, evidence-based tools — and for many people, they form a helpful foundation for managing stress and emotional overwhelm. But therapy is always tailored to your preferences. You're in control, and we’ll work in ways that feel right for you — whether that includes practical strategies, deeper emotional exploration, or simply having someone to talk to.

Can stress counselling help with physical symptoms too?

Yes — while counselling doesn’t replace medical advice, it can help reduce the emotional load that often contributes to sleep issues, headaches, fatigue, and tension.

ISLAND COUNSELLING, PHILLIP ISLAND

A Bit More About Priscilla

I grew up in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and have always embraced change as a natural part of life. After completing university, I built a successful corporate career, started my own pet food business, then returned to the corporate world before deciding to follow a new path. I completed my Master of Counselling and haven’t looked back. Having navigated many transitions myself, I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with change.
With my husband moving into semi-retirement, we made our long-awaited move to Millowl, Phillip Island, where I’m enjoying a more balanced way of living and a stronger connection to the local community. I have two beautiful Old English Sheepdogs who keep me active, and I love getting outdoors with them to explore the island. Staying fit is important to me, and so is balancing time between family, friends, and solitude. I ride a motorcycle and have a passion for MotoGP, love cooking, and enjoy good conversation.
Life is full of transitions, some planned, some unexpected, and I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my counselling approach, offering a space where you can navigate your own path with confidence, clarity and understanding.
