Frequently Asked Questions
What does ‘life transitions’ mean in counselling?
Life transitions include any major change — such as retirement, divorce, moving house, health diagnosis, or becoming a parent — that impacts your sense of identity, purpose or stability.
Why do big life changes feel so emotionally heavy?
Even positive change can bring uncertainty, grief, or stress. Counselling helps you adjust, make sense of emotions, and move forward with more clarity and support.
Do you offer support for grief and loss?
Yes. Whether you're grieving a person, a role, a relationship or even a version of life you hoped for, we can work through those feelings together — gently and at your pace.
I’m usually very capable — does asking for help mean I’m not coping?
Not at all. It takes strength to seek support during times of change. Many capable people benefit from counselling to regain balance and perspective.
Is support available in-person or online?
Both. I see clients in Cowes and offer telehealth across Phillip Island and the Bass Coast.

A Bit More About Priscilla
I grew up in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and have always embraced change as a natural part of life. After completing university, I built a successful corporate career, started my own pet food business, then returned to the corporate world before deciding to follow a new path. I completed my Master of Counselling and haven’t looked back. Having navigated many transitions myself, I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with change.
With my husband moving into semi-retirement, we made our long-awaited move to Millowl, Phillip Island, where I’m enjoying a more balanced way of living and a stronger connection to the local community. I have two beautiful Old English Sheepdogs who keep me active, and I love getting outdoors with them to explore the island. Staying fit is important to me, and so is balancing time between family, friends, and solitude. I ride a motorcycle and have a passion for MotoGP, love cooking, and enjoy good conversation. Life is full of transitions, some planned, some unexpected, and I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my counselling approach, offering a space where you can navigate your own path with confidence, clarity and understanding. |
