 Counselling Through Life's Turning Points

Whether it's Retirement, Relocation, Aging, Grief, or Starting Over. Counselling Offers Space to Reflect, Adapt, & Move Forward

Change Isn’t Always Easy — Even When it’s Meant to be a Good Thing

A person places a framed photo into an open suitcase, symbolising change and new beginnings.Supporting you through change — chosen or unexpected
Starting something new, ending something old, or even just facing the unknown can stir up all kinds of feelings: anxiety, sadness, uncertainty… or that weird mix of everything all at once.

Life transitions can be loud and dramatic, like a separation or job loss. But they can also be quiet and slow — like the slow fade of identity after retirement, or the loneliness of moving to a new town.

I offer counselling for life transitions to help you make sense of change — whether it’s something you’ve chosen, or something life handed you.

When Everything Shifts

You might be facing:
  • A relationship breakdown or divorce
  • Becoming a parent — or becoming an empty nester
  • Career change, job loss, or transitioning into retirement
  • A health diagnosis, perimenopause, or changes in physical ability
  • Navigating menopause, chronic stress, or shifts in identity
  • Loss, grief, or changes to family dynamics
  • Relocating to the Bass Coast or starting over somewhere new

Even positive change — like a new role, retirement, or stepping into a new phase of women’s health — can feel stressful when it disrupts your routine, identity, or sense of security.

A Practical & Compassionate Approach

My role isn’t to give you a five-step plan or cheerlead from the sidelines. Instead, I’ll work alongside you to explore what’s hard, what’s uncertain, and what might help you move forward with confidence.

I provide life transition counselling on Phillip Island in a calm, supportive setting — or via online counselling for life transitions if that’s more accessible for you.

No pressure. No expectations. Just a safe space to land while the ground underneath you shifts.

Start With a Free 15-Minute Chat

It’s completely normal to feel unsure about reaching out — especially when things feel in flux. That’s why I offer a short, obligation-free telehealth consult so you can ask questions and see if I feel like a good fit for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ‘life transitions’ mean in counselling?

Life transitions include any major change — such as retirement, divorce, moving house, health diagnosis, or becoming a parent — that impacts your sense of identity, purpose or stability.

Why do big life changes feel so emotionally heavy?

Even positive change can bring uncertainty, grief, or stress. Counselling helps you adjust, make sense of emotions, and move forward with more clarity and support.

Do you offer support for grief and loss?

Yes. Whether you're grieving a person, a role, a relationship or even a version of life you hoped for, we can work through those feelings together — gently and at your pace.

I’m usually very capable — does asking for help mean I’m not coping?

Not at all. It takes strength to seek support during times of change. Many capable people benefit from counselling to regain balance and perspective.

Is support available in-person or online?

Both. I see clients in Cowes and offer telehealth across Phillip Island and the Bass Coast.

A Safe Space for Growth, Connection & Healing

ISLAND COUNSELLING, PHILLIP ISLAND

A Bit More About Priscilla

I grew up in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and have always embraced change as a natural part of life. After completing university, I built a successful corporate career, started my own pet food business, then returned to the corporate world before deciding to follow a new path. I completed my Master of Counselling and haven’t looked back. Having navigated many transitions myself, I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with change.
With my husband moving into semi-retirement, we made our long-awaited move to Millowl, Phillip Island, where I’m enjoying a more balanced way of living and a stronger connection to the local community. I have two beautiful Old English Sheepdogs who keep me active, and I love getting outdoors with them to explore the island. Staying fit is important to me, and so is balancing time between family, friends, and solitude. I ride a motorcycle and have a passion for MotoGP, love cooking, and enjoy good conversation.
Life is full of transitions, some planned, some unexpected, and I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my counselling approach, offering a space where you can navigate your own path with confidence, clarity and understanding.
